  Who here has a hobby of drawing and writing stories? To channel your hobby well, join the Children Literature class at the English Literature Study Program at Yogyakarta State University. What do you do in that class? Well, this Children Literature class is one of the featured subjects provided by the language arts and culture faculty for students majoring in English Literature. This course aims to improve students' skills in producing work intended for children. Students can take this course in the fourth semester for one hundred minutes per meeting. In the first meeting, students will be given material about the history of children's literature, the theory of children's literature, and the elements of writing work.   Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa internasional yang bisa digunakan di berbagai belahan dunia. Namun, tentu saja tidak semua bahasa inggris itu terdengar sama di telinga para pendengar karena masing-masing negara memiliki aksen dalam pengucapannya. Aksen sendiri adalah cara pengucapan yang khas oleh seseorang atau sekelompok orang. Aksen bahasa Inggris yang paling dikenal dan dipelajari adalah English America (US) dan British English (UK). Adanya perbedaan aksesn ini disebabkan oleh penyebaran bahasa Inggris dari negara asal ke berbagai negara. Sejatinya, bahasa Inggris itu sendiri merupakan British English yang mana berasal dari negara asalnya. English America merupakan aksen pengucapan bahasa Inggris yang telah mengalami adaptasi terhadap lidah warga negara tersebut.   Pada abad ke-16 dan 17, bahasa Inggris dibawa ke Amerika melalui laut.
